How Often Should You Change the Oil of Your Vehicle?

When you follow your vehicle's manual for proper car maintenance procedures you see that regular oil and filter changes are extremely important. The most common recommendation is to change the oil every 3,000 miles or every 6 to12 months, whichever is first.

With newer vehicles and more sophisticate oil blends, there's some debate on whether you need to change the oil at 3,000 miles; we suggest you refer to your driver's manual and adhere to its suggestion.
